i have been following katie's blog. katie gave birth to a daughter, reese, almost two months ago. reese died shortly after being born. i have been so encouraged and strengthened by katie's faith and trust in the Lord during this incredibly heartbreaking time in her life. i only hope that i could be as calm in the midst of a similar storm.
recently, katie shared part of an email that she received from a friend, that said:
"i have cried myself to sleep at night thinking of your pain and prayed as i cried, that my tears could be a substitute for yours that night, that you could feel peace, and find rest. i hope they were answered."
oh the beauty! what a testament to the love of Jesus when fellow brothers and sisters in Christ stand in the gap for each other. this is trully being the hands and feet of Jesus.
