opening a present from uncle andrew - it was a monkey bowl! it will be perfect for snacks. (uncle andrew is 11 years old... he took some money he earned and went to the dollar store to buy everyone in our family a gift. how sweet is that?!!!)
uncle chad and hunter.
my bro, chad and i.
my sister, melanie and i. she gave me some peppermint lotion. after i opened it she said, in all seriousness, "sis, that is really good lotion. i only used it two times but i won't use it anymore since it's yours now." ha! she gave us a good laugh.
unbelievable! a family shot with all of us looking in the (almost) same direction. hunter is wearing a cute wintry shirt. i tried to find a baby's 1st christmas shirt for him to wear. since he is so big (he wears 18-24 mos) they don't make baby's 1st christmas stuff in those sizes. oh well. his daddy probably would've likened a baby's 1st christmas shirt to a christmas sweater and kept hunter from wearing it.
how sweet and handsome.
christmas morning. he opened his one gift from daddy and mommy. i filled his stocking with stuff he already had (he didn't know he already had it) and with his favorite snack - yogurt melts. i think he would've been just as happy with a package of yogurt melts alone.
mommy and hunter.
at the christmas eve service. hunter, me and my brother, andrew.
after the christmas eve service. we had to wait for daddy to get offstage so we could hug him and get a picture. hunter was hungry at this point. : )
we tried to get a better shot... it's better but not good. oh well!
it was such a joy getting to share christmas with our little boy! i can't believe that next year at christmas we will have an almost two year old and a 7 month old. wowee!
i hope you had a fabulous christmas!!!

So much fun Carrissa! I gave my baby niece that leap frog table! I laughed so hard at what your sis did and said with your lotion! My sister just turned 12 and I think all of her gifts were genuine re-gifts. She gave darby an old purse of hers and it was really cute!
Hunter looked so cute! I am glad he had a fun Christmas.
I love all the pictures and comments. We just got back from our last Christmas celebration at
Doug's house. It was fun day!
The French gourmet cheese Bleu d'Auvergne has a wonderful aroma, a rich taste; the saltiness increases with the incidence of veining. The overall flavor is piquant but not overly sharp. Bleu d'Auvergne started life as an imitation of Roquefort, using cow's milk in place of sheep's milk. Legend has it that a peasant, around 1845, decided to inject his cheese with a blue mold that he found growing on his left-over bread (the motto being, waste not, want not). And thus, the gourmet cheese Bleu d'Auvergne was born. This French gourmet blue cheese comes from the region of Auvergne and the cheese is made from milk of Salers and Aubrac cows. The rind is very thin and so the cheese is usually wrapped in foil. The cheese is rich and creamy with a pale yellow color and scattered holes and well-defined greenish-blue veining. We cut and wrap this cheese in wedge of 8 ounces and 1 pound.
