maybe my foot is just dangling off the side.
or perhaps both feet are.
i knew this day would come.
it was inevitable.
don't get me wrong, i am in love with saving money.
i often become way too obsessed with it.
but, i keep winding up in the same predicament. let me explain...
the situation: we always have a good amount of food in our house - a bounty of rice and pasta, canned goods, and hundreds of totino's pizza rolls (which we really aren't huge fans of). so, that leaves us with the following for dinner: pizza roll pasta and rice with whatever darn (canned) vegetable your heart so desires.
the problem: (as if this really needs explaining) yes we have food but nothing to eat. or, at least nothing that we want to eat. as a result, we end up grabbing some cheap meal because the pizza rolls just couldn't stand to be in our mouth one more time. all those cheap meals add up and aren't cheap anymore.
the solution: follow recipes to make tasty, healthy meals. use as many coupons as possible to buy the ingredients, and if there's no coupon, go for the store brand. this means i will be spending a bit more at the grocery store, but we will be eating out way less (close to never) which will save us money in the long run. and, we will be healthier for it too. i know that will make my hubby happy.
by the way, hop on over to my sister-in-law's blog. she just posted a ton of delicious recipes! i am going to be making several of them next week.
where are you at with coupons???

Just stopping by to say hi and check how you are doing ; )
I just clip the one I know I'll use. Yesterday I saved $1.00 on two boxes of popcorn. A good snack for Grandpa. I also saved a $1.00 on a Hickory Farms summer sauages which was on sale for $4.99so got it for $3.99. Raley's had it on sale for $5.99 glad I didn't buy it there and waited until today. Nothing is double out here so you don't save as must as where they double coupons.
oh well my printer doesn't work! So couponing for me is very non existant. BUT...I don't think I have too much time to do either. I hope to get back in the grove tho. I was never so strict with mine. I always made sure we still had mostly "normal" meals
