stellar.

sorry... i've spared you from coupon speak long enough.

today my love for coupons was re-established. i had been suffering from coupon fatigue. i missed several sunday papers. i had a low coupon supply. nothing i wanted was going on sale.

then, i suddenly received an envelope that was worth more than gold from the publix baby club. it was loaded with several profitable coupons. yay. i was thrilled.

hunter needed diapers and formula (hopefully this will be the last formula purchase... he will be one in a little over two weeks and moving on to cow's milk. hallelujah.). so, with a little clipping, printing, and a tiny bit of brainpower i figured out a way to get these necessities for cheap. i mean really cheap. cheaper than ever.

$21.70.

normally, this all would've cost $75.95. how??? the beauty of stacking coupons.

let me lay it all out.

for the formula i stacked these coupons:
store coupon: $7 off two containers of enfamil from the publix weekly ad.
publix baby club coupon: $10 off two containers of enfamil.
competitor's coupons: food lion - $3 off one container of enfamil, (i probably could've used two of these coupons since i bought two containers. oh well.) rite-aid - $5 off $25 purchase.
manufacturer's rebate check: $4 off enfamil.
totals: $29 in savings.
cost before coupons = $37.98
cost after coupons = $8.98 - that's 2 cans of formula for $8.98!!!

for the diapers i stacked these coupons:
store coupon: $3 off huggies box of diapers from the publix weekly ad.
publix baby club coupons: $5 off box of huggies diapers. $1.50 off huggies wipes. $2 off huggies overnites.
competitor's coupons: food lion - $0.50 off huggies wipes (publix doubled it to make it worth $1.00) & $1.50 off huggies diapers, target - $1.50 off huggies diapers, rite aid- $5 off $25 purchase.
manufacturer's coupons: $2 off huggies box of diapers. $2 off huggies overnites. $0.75 off wipes.
totals: $25.25 in savings.
cost before coupons = $37.97
cost after coupons = $12.72

note: i didn't include the tax in these figures to make the calculations easier for myself.

this is flat out stellar. God provides through coupons... i'm telling you!

you got a good cashier to let you stack that many competitor coupons! a lady at publix a while back only let me do one manufacturer, one publix, and after some persistance one other competitor....

There isn't a store in CA that would allow this. Of course, your sweet smile, the cashier probaly couldn't say NO. I just clipped some coupons tonight and have some to mail your way.

what can i say? i love publix!!! especially the one near my house. they always let me use a competitor's coupon/item on top of a store coupon, baby club coupon, and manufacturer's coupon for each item. they didn't even hesitate. yay. they have my business for life.
