memory moments.

memory moments... moments like these... you know, the kind that you want to multipy by a million and make last forever? here are mine ~

{1} my 9th birthday.  i remember it like yesterday.  it was the last birthday i had with my dad before he died of cancer.

{2} the day i became mrs. graham.

{3} staring into the eyes of a newborn.  my newborn.

{4} treading through deep waters but never being so desperate for the Lord's presence.

{5} the first night home from the hospital with hunter.  we were clueless... felt helpless.  he cried all night long. but yet, we were parents and adored our child to pieces.

{6} finding out that my grandpa was cancer free after he was given {maybe} 6 months to live.

{7} when hunter first slept through the night at 8 weeks.  sleep never felt good.  and long.

{8} finding out that i am going to have a daughter.

what is one of your memory moments?

every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. - james 1:17

Beautiful! One of my memory moments is when my brother, Sam, was born, and we all piled into the car on this warm, summery day, in shorts, and headed off to the hospital in shifts (my aunt stayed with my younger siblings and my dad took my sister, Chloe, and I. Then we came back and the other half went). I just remember popping open that car door and the feeling of plaid shorts against my skin. ;-)

My memory is of my wedding day marrying my best friend.

Our first night home with Logan was the same way, I came so close to just giving him the formula so I could get some sleep. Congrats on having your baby girl! How exciting.
My favorite memory is marrying my husband and the first time I looked into my newborn's eyes.

Carissa,

What a lovely post!!!!!!!! Mine is looking at my precious baby daughter 21 years ago when she was born. I had suffered three miscarriages...two at over 5 months. She was truly a miracle baby!

My favorite memory was the day I had Gracie. Everything about it. I loved the birthing process. being in the hospital with a new baby. Everything. My husband and I both agreed that it was better than our wedding day. ;)

Those are some really touching memories! Some of my favorite memories are surviving a tornado, a real live encounter with a bear in the wilderness, my first time skinny dipping, and hugging strangers under the confetti rain at a Polyphonic Spree concert!

What a fun post!

So many of you posted about the wonderful memories of your wedding day ... well, I just have to share. I had a 104 temp on my wedding day, and threw up on the pastor's shoes during the prayer time. :) Not such a great memory.

Then ... the babies.

Each and every baby's birth is such a miracle. My 10th miracle 8 years ago, was no less special than my first, 25 years ago.

One of my "bringing baby home" memories was when we brought our twins home, and our "older" kids were just 2, 3, 4. I had 5 babies under 5 years old and I had no idea how I was going to survive. (We had NO involved family or close friends, nor a supportive church family.) But ... we not only survived ... we went on to have baby #6 just 18 months later.

blessings,

Laurel

Such a sweet post! I think I have a million of them, and every day I add to that list. Just yesterday I came home from Bible Study and Halle snuggled up on my lap and said 'Miss you, momma'. Melted my heart! Happy Tuesday!

What precious memories! I can't imagine how hard it must have been to lose your dad at only nine, though. So glad you have a lovely memory to cherish forever.

I'll never forget the day I was told that there were two heartbeats in my womb! Talk about a shocker!

Carissa, so beautiful ...for some reason this brought tears to my eyes...maybe because I can relate to most of them.

My wedding day was seriously the best day of my life....until my baby was born. You never forget the moment God makes you a parent.

It's so good to look back and remember!

One of my favorite memories is my thirteenth birthday. It was one year after the accident in Mexico, and I did not want to celebrate. Well, some of my friends heard me say that, and they threw me a small surprise birthday party. Looking back, I can't believe other 13 year old girls thought about that. It was super sweet!

brad and i closed on our house at like 2 in the afternoon but it took hours (i had a bad agent!)so it was too late to move anything in that day. we got our sleeping bags and slept in our new bedroom. it was so sweet.

This is beautiful. My most treasured memory would have to be the day I moved in with my mom. A lot lead up to it, and when the day finally came it was like a 39382498 pound weight was lifted off my shoulders.

What a great post! I'm so impressed that you consider your first night home with your babe one of those moments! I know it's cliche, but my #1 would definitely be the birth of my baby boy. It was truly amazing for me.
