who's stalling who?

bedtime.  oh and the stalling it brings.  i wonder if it's on hunter's part or daddy's.  it's probably both.  i can't blame them... daddy gets home and has an hour or so with the son until it's his bedtime.  i'd want to tarry a bit, too.

hunter's bedtime begins with crib side fun.

daddy is about to tickle him.  hunter's getting prepared...

daddy got him.

waiting for daddy to tickle him some more.

hiding.  {this is my all time fave.}  he really thinks that hiding in the corner means he's invisible.

and then daddy says, okay, it's really bedtime now.  hunter's thrilled {sarcasm implied}.

oh man.  i love all the "dailys" of taking care of my boy!  bedtime, stalling, and all!  do we ever love our lil' son.  kelly and i spend so much time just talking about how much we adore hunter and how thankful we are for God's gift of our child.

"wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. "
- psalm 139:14b

p.s. - hunter does wear pajama's to bed.  that's step #2, after crib side fun.

So cute. I love it when they think they are hiding too. They think if they can't see you then you can't see them.

What a cutie! I love the one of him hiding in the corner:)

love the pictures! you don't have to add the PS in though. in summer the kids usually sleep in their diapers or just t-shirts because it's so humid in our house with no a/c.

my hubby works later some nights and i let the kids stay up later on those days because i want them to see their daddy and get that crazy special time with him that ONLY he can give. :0)

Nothing like some daddy time and a few tickles. That is the sweetest bedtime routine around!

Hey Carissa!
It's so funny how I relate to your posts! I always laugh! I understand your crying at the post office! These days I had to go get blood work and take Tiago too..so I waited to go on a saturday with Marcos (didn't want to take him alone!). Anyway, we got there and neither of us was able to get our exams done (for dumb reasons). I started crying in front of everyone and left as if I was a little child who was told could not have the toy she wanted! Marcos tried really hard not to laugh... lol.
I know what you mean with the LOVE we feel for our little boys!! Marcos will even tell me he cannot imagine he will love Larissa as much as he loves Tiago. Oh but he will :). We both know it, but isn't it hard to imagine how you can feel so much love?
Oh and here in our house it's the same story...Tiago waits and waits for daddy o come home (and he's usually really tired while waiting - since i's already 8pm) and when he does, they only have about half hour together 'till bedtime. So you can imagine that half hour! It wakes him up in such a way he will lie in bed awake for a long time try to unwind...he sings, calls out for Marcos, sings some more, talks to himself, sings some more..last night I even tried recording him sing! It was so cute.
I was feeling a lot of contractions too, are you still? The past few days it got better for me...but I'm resting more too.

he's such a cutie! My Cooper's bedtime was always late becuase Daddy wanted time with him at night! Now its the same way with Annabelle, too. (When I say late, I mean like 9:00...but I know lots of people who's kids' bedtimes are like 7:30)...
Oh, and Hunter hiding in the corner is just too precious! What a treasure that you have a picture of it! (I LOVE photos) :)

What a ham! He is so precious! Your house is going to be twice the fun when there's two :) PS I totally know what you mean about the baby and their name just fitting them. I think they either fit into the name or vice versa. I gotcha! ;)

We also used to have a late bed time and I mean always since she was little! Daddy also gets home late and I refused to have her asleep before he got home. It wasn't until just recently that she gave up naps, now she can be asleep by 8! Adjustment was big but enjoying our alone time.

Love it! WE used to stall when Bailey was a baby. I had to work outside the home the first 2 years of her life...so we kept her up until 10 or 11 most nights. We figured we could just take her to daycare asleep...we needed that extra time with her!!

Fun! The Baby time is so short...enjoy :)

he's too adorable hiding in the corner! my mother in law
calls them the biggest time wasters, because you can
spend hours just watching them do the same thing over
and over again.

is he in for a big surprise when little sage hits the stage!
he's young enough, though, to not even know what's
hitting him. :)

Too effin cute!! I love that he hides his face and assumes no one can see him. My son puts his hands over his eyes and acts like no one can see him. I heard that they think "if I can't see them they can't see me" which is perfect logic for a baby.
Your son is so adorable!!
