miscellany monday

grab the button and link up below!  keep your miscellany as random as possible! : )

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{1} this week i'm coming at you live from the hospital.  and i must confess that my miscellany isn't going to be so random.  sorry...  i'm breaking my own rule.  but at this point, i'm eating, sleeping and drinking baby.  and i love it.  we get to go home today as long as jaundice doesn't show too much of it's ugly face.

{2} every woman should get the privilege of wearing meshy, net like undies.  they are seriously so comfortable, especially since they go all the way to your rib cage.  i'm going to ask the nurse for some extras.

{3} what is it with hospital food?  i know it's not that bad, but just the thought of eating something prepared in the very same building where liver transplants are taking place just simply churns my tummy.

{4}  my husband watched the entire c-section.  he got a first hand look at my uterus and ovaries {tmi?... probably}  and he claims that he can now officially say with all assuredness that "i'm beautiful from the inside out."  thanks babe.

{5} thank you for all of your overwhelming kindness and congratulations!  you are so sweet and thoughtful!  your prayers mean the world to us.

Oh, Carissa you are to funny! I hate the mesh undies, lol. I will be praying for her Janudice, I know all about it. We were in the hospital for 4 days after I had Autumn with it. It was a hard 4 days with 4 little ones at home. So I will be keeping you and your beautiful family in prayer. How are you feeling and how is your little man doing with his new little sister? You husband is so sweet, truly you are blessed! You are so beautiful and I really enjoyed all of the pictures. Oh and the hospital food, ewwwwww!!!!!!! HEHEHE

I can't get over how good you look after a cesarean. I looked HORRID after my cesarean with Keegan. HORRID. I agree with the net panties statement. And my husband said the same thing after watching my cesarean. Too cute! Hope the jaundice stays at bay and you get to go home today. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers. Sage gets cuter with every picture!

Hope you get to go home today as planned so you don't have to eat anymore of that delicious hospital food :-) I'm sure home will feel wonderful!

Kelli said...

Here's to jaundice healing and a safe journey home. What a blessing. She is simply adorable (love the yawn picture). I loved those panties too...chuckle! We actually had a fridge of food on our floor with these simple yet oh so yummy sandwiches (we took some home!). Rondell was too nervous to watch my C-sections. Thanks again for sharing and breaking your own rule!

Kelley said...

You look awesome lady! And I am so looking forward to those mesh undies now ;)
Will be praying for Sage and the jaundice so you all can get home today.
Great pics! What a cute family you have.

LeAnna said...

Awwww! What a sweet hubs! You guys look so great, and your sweet little family of four makes me anxious to make mine the same number. :) I hear you about the hospital food, too. Everything at the one I went to was fried. FRIED! Who serves nothing but fried food at a hospital?? And those mesh undies...yeah...those are just fantastic. ;)

Jenn @ Bull Session said...

I loved the mesh undies too! Glad I'm not alone in that fact.

Kelly Marie said...

You have an absolutely gorgeous family Carissa! And number 3 just made me laugh out loud & what your husband said was so sweet! Congratulations again!!

Becca said...

AWE! I am loving these pictures! What a sweet, beautiful family you have! I completely agree about the hospital food, it's not terrible but I just couldn't bring myself to eat much of it! Hope y'all are able to go home today and adjusting to four is easy for ya!

Thanks for making me smile!! Pregnancy, hospitals, and hubbies make me laugh :) Sounds like you have had quite the adventure the past few days, especially with those netted undies!! All my prego friends have told me about those things!! :)

Sunny Sue said...

So glad you were feeling well enough to give us all an update! I certainly cannot tell you have just had a C-sec. You look great! The pics of everyone are so good and Sage is simply beautiful. Will be praying for the jaundice to flee!
I LOVED the mesh panties, too! Forgot to ask for extras. Best part... just toss 'em. No washing. Ask for a whole box! However, they might try to keep Hunter as payment. Nevermind.
Kelly's comment warmed my heart. What a good man! Looking forward to hearing that you are home with a healthy baby and happy family~

I hope there is no jaundice. Our last night in the hospital we had to wrap Kaylee up with the billy wand and she looked like a baby glowworm.
Sit by the window!
And the mesh undies! So funny! In Lamaze class they told us about them and said not to be afraid to ask for some to take home.

I laughed out load about your husband watching the c-section. I was a c-section baby and my dad apparently loved watching it happen. My mom jokes that he kept asking the doctors to move out the way so that he could get a better view :)
