Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

one.
so, sorry i've neglected the blogosphere as of late... there's something about having a newborn that makes me want to enter a cocoon and just soak up every minute with her and my little guy... these baby days aren't going to last forever and i want to cherish every moment.  even the sleepless nights.  there's such a beauty in all of the fatigue... knowing that you're beginning to shape your child's life...  what a great responsibility and blessing.
two.
i think referencing the toilet as an oval office is awesome.  thank you clorox (or lysol; one of the two) commercial for bringing this to my attention.

three.
i hardly watch tv.  i don't have any shows (except for the office) that are must sees.  until now.  i'm loving the next food network star and design star.  i even watch reruns of the episodes... several times.

four.
confession: yesterday i knowingly walked around with poop squirts all over my shirt.  and shorts.  hey, it's only newborn poop; it's not that nasty.  plus, the post prego frump only affords a small variety of outfit selections.

had to laugh at the newborn poop thing. i used to tell my husband all the time, it's just baby pee! he didn't buy it as being less nasty. guess it's a mama thing ;) glad you are doing well!

Ooooh I saw that commercial too and I can't rememeber if it was Lysol or Clorox but it was funny to refer to it as the Oval Office pure genius I tell ya!

I loooove Food Network Star and Design Star! I wish I half as talented!

And the poop squirt story...nasty and hilarious at the same time!

How is the little cutie, Hunter, dealing with his new responsibilities as a big brother?!

Rachel said...

You just soak up these days. I wish I could bottle some of those early days and save them -- they are so special.

LOL- about the poop. I feel like I always have some remnant of my kids on me -- spit-up, jelly, sand, marker, etc... it's there.

Love those shows. Thank goodness for The Food Network and HGtv.

Rest now. I hope you are feeling well.

Rachel

I definitely just cracked up laughing at the poop squirts...not just the fact that you were wearing it, but the fact that you called it squirts! I know I get excited if my outfit doesn't have some form of crustiness on it...I'm just so used to it now!

It sounds like you're enjoying being a mom x2! I know it has to be sleepless, but like you said-it's all worth it in the end! Take care!

Just had to check in. Again you make me laugh. That's a good thing for Monday as I have the whole week ahead of me and why not start it with a laugh? Poop squirts will wash out, so no fear. Blog friend will wait, but babies wont. Tv show keep changing so I never get hooked on them. Grandpa loves the food net work but I'm to busy cooking to even watch it. Love you and have a wonderful day with your babies.
