1. i hit the jackpot. every single day, as hunter is finishing his lunch he lays his head on his shoulder and says, “nap, nap.” yes, my child asks for a nap. don’t hate me. i’m enjoying this while it lasts.
2. meet mrs. bruBAKEr. jocelyn’s her name, baking’s her game... i was lucky enough to almost meet her in real life. and with the last name of “brubaker” she’s destined to open a bakery. she’s so creative in the kitchen… it will blow your mind and possibly add a few pounds to your thighs or make you all the more eager to burn some calories. ; ) she created the mini pumpkin oreo cheesecakes, perfect for any festive fall occasion. if you need a good idea, visit her.
so my cheesecakes didn't look as perfect as jocelyn's, but i tried. we took them to a pumpkin party last weekend.
3. death by chocolate. we try not to eat dessert too often. my unsaid rule is once/week. usually that once falls sometime during the weekend, which happened to be last night. i didn’t have a whole lot to work with. i made cupcake style brownies (from a box - just made brownies "cake style" and plopped them in a cupcake pan) topped with a chocolate butter cream frosting (recipe from the back of nestle cocoa). yes, death by chocolate in its purest form. good thing it was too sweet to finish even one. : ) my diet was about to murder me. (julie, i'm bringing some over for you, whether you like chocolate or not. he he.)
4. a mama mishap that will make you laugh. my sister-in-law, becky is a hoot. this was her facebook status the other day (taylor is her daughter): “broke the news to taylor that one of her frogs died yesterday. then she ran into her room to find both frogs swimming. oops! my bad!”
5. pumpkin picking. all hunter could do the whole time while visiting the patch was say “wow” continuosly. life’s way more fun when kids are around.
he picked out a baby pumpkin to bring home. made mom happy... it was only $1!
even sage had fun... just as long as she was right next to me the whole time.
p.s. #1 - thank you for all of your sweet prayers for my sister-in-law's adoption that i shared about in the previous post... the Lord hears our cries and is faithful!

Hunter is so sweet - Emma STILL asks to go down for a nap! LOVE that girl - she loves her beauty sleep. The pumpkin patch pictures are so precious. We went twice this weekend and it was so much fun. I'll be checking out your friend's link for all the goodies - we're having a Fall brunch with the ladies in my small group and I wanted to bring a pumpkin-y treat :)

Gotta love a little one asking for a nap! Both my girls were great nappers but my boys...well, THAT'S another story.
Those brownie cupcakes look yummy! I made a Betty Crocker box dessert (something I NEVER do!) the other day and it was yummy! Chocolate Mousse Cake. Look for it in the baking aisle. Very, very good!

P.S. That is awesome about Hunter and naptime! You must be doing a really good job with a routine. Noelle often asks for her nap, too. She plays so hard in the morning that she's just plum exhausted by lunchtime!

Monday thing do to the treatments but I will totally try to get back on board soon, I miss it lots! Those cheesecakes you made look amazing, as does that chocolate brownie cupcake, but I am fasting chocolate for Emily for a month so no chocolate for me!

Good grief, what delicious looking cupcakes!! But, the pumpkin patch pictures are just precious. My Grans went last week-end and enjoyed it too and there's always fun pictures to be taken when the little ones are around.

We still love, love, love naptime at this house. I love it when my kids tell me that I need a nap.
As far as the $1 pumpkin -- you are blessed! We go to this local pumpkin patch where you weigh your pumpkins. My poor kids I make them run back and forth weighing pumpkins. And then when I went in and told the cashier that I had 70 pounds of pumpkins she verified the weight with me three times. Yes, seventy pounds of orange pumpkin goodness.
And, by the way, I love your Ergo carrier. I have one -- best investment ever.
