oh the places you go.

it's kind of amazing thinking about all the places you've been and will go.  so much diversity, from the people to the landscape, from city to city, state to state, country to country.  i'm no world traveller, but out of the few places i've been, there's one that has always captured my heart.

bodega bay, california raw, unedited, unwatermarked photos.... don't steal them.  : )

growing up, it was our beach and just miles from our house.  the air is cooler there.  the wind is sweeter.  when the sky is blue, it's the prettiest of blues.  when the sky is grey it's even prettier.  the waves kiss the sand and the cliffs touch the sky.  God's creation at its best...

i know i've shared it's beauty before, and i'm certain to share it a hundred times over.  : )  it's my favorite place.  although maybe i'm just biased.  after all, i celebrated my 9th birthday there, which happened to be the last year my dad was alive.  so yeah, i'm certain i'm biased.

i can't wait to be there again.

I agree with my mom; I think a visit would be good. :)

And don't worry; no stealing here. Though I love the photos.

Hoping you all have a beautiful, blessed, lovely day! :)

Oh Carissa...

I was reading along, looking at your photgraphs thinking about my own memories in California (I grew up in AZ) and then I got to the part about 9th birthday and your dad...

In tears.

I miss my dad too. ♥

ps. i'm so sorry you lost your father at such a young age.
that must have been devastating to your sweet young self.

What a bneautiful location. And so much prettier since you and your dad shared time there. What part of CA is it? I'm assuming Central Coast since I live in SoCal and our beaches don't look like that!

I grew up near Bodega Bay too! :) I didn't even have to scroll down to the name to ID it, since I have a super similar photo (of my own snapping, promise!) as my laptop wallpaper.

I went back for the first time this summer and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. I hadn't been since I was 6, and went with my dad before he died. (this post felt a little like reading my own life story, oh my! :) )
