1. costume cuties. our kids sure got plenty of use out of their costumes... we've been going to pumpkin parties and fall festivals all weekend and have had a grand time!
2. loony lady. unfortunately i'm talking about yours truly. for about an hour and a half the other day i was walking around with my cell phone in my pocket. i don't do this often (which is why i probably miss everyone's calls). during that time i scoured the house trying to find my phone. and now i know you're tempted to tell me you've done the exact same thing. but, you wait, it gets better worse. also during that time i seriously thought something was wrong with my leg... i kept feeling a weird twitch near my pocket. hello, my phone was on vibrate, in my pocket. talk about a double whamy of dumb.
3. miss flo. not to be confused with aunt flo that likes to visit monthly. have you seen the progressive commercials with flo? at the store yesterday i was visiting the clinique counter and was greeted by flo herself. i wondered why in the world she'd be at a clinique counter trying to sell progressive insurance. and did flo herself really actually sell the insurance? or was she just on the commercials? my mind was confused. and then i thought, i should be starstruck and ask for an autograph. until i realized it was halloween. and people wear costumes on halloween. to my credit, she did look a lot like the real flo. i seem to be stuck in a trend of loony. at least it's good for a few laughs.
4. much more than t-shirts. this sweet family is adopting a child from ethiopia. i'm very excited for them... i have a beautiful ethiopian niece that's as sweet as cherry pie, so this is close to my heart. they are selling amazing t-shirts to help raise money for the adoption, because in case you weren't aware, international adoption costs gobs of money. you can get a pretty shirt with a beautiful message to help an amazing cause. win-win-win. if you have a heart for adoption, please visit and learn more about them!

Love the cell phone story!! Lately I do something with my glasses - can't find them and they are on my head OR reach for my sunglasses as my reading glasses and wondering why I can't see? LOL

Thank you for letting me know about those shirts -- I have a friend who is trying to adopt from overseas as well, and she has started her own business. It is so great to support those making a difference in the lives of these children.

Those costumes are sooo cute! And truly, don't feel too dumb~ I recently was looking for my phone and trying to call my phone (on my phone) to see if it would ring somewhere in the house... not my brightest moment. =)

Um I am lovin' the kiddos halloween costumes look at the presh little pink kitty and her tights are soooooooooooo cute! I love the little giraffe costume too!

I never have my phone either...and the weird thing is sometimes it feels like I have a vibrating phone in my pocket and I grab for it...and there's nothing there! WEIRD-o! haha! :)

I have done the same thing with my cell phone too, but once...
We were at a well child visit at the dr. office and I kept feeling this weird tingling on my calf. I thought oh my goodness, I need to tell the doctor. And then the nurse said..."um, you are dripping water!" And I wasn't pregnant so may water hadn't broken. IT was a bottle of water in the diaper bag leaking water ALL OVER TEH OFFICE. I was so embarrassed...what a mess and silly me thinking I had some random never damage in my lower leg...ha!

girl you just crack me up. i left my purse in target the other day. got to my car and it wasn't with me. ran inside and finally found it in a cart all by itself in the kid's clothing dept. i found an empty cart apparently and thought it was mine and took off without my purse. what a weirdo!

this entire post made me laugh carissa, I don't know what is more funny, you thinking something is wrong with your leg, or running into flo! oh, and can I please just squeeze sage and kiss her all over? because she is just too stinkin cute with her chubby cheeks in her costume! I just read another story about a lost cell phone. This woman thought that she had dropped it in the garbage at the fast food restaurant. While the fast food worker was 1/2 way digging through the garbage can (YUCK!) the phone rang ... in the woman's pocket. Yep. A little embarrassing.
