2. j squared. i watch (almost) zero movies. not because i want to act above them or because i instead do something so noble such as reading or the dishes. it's because i have the attention span of a three year old and get bored. i also don't want to spend the money. but i recently watched julie and julia. it was so good. there's something about julia child that makes you feel like you could actually debone a duck. not that i will, but there's something good about a movie that inspires you a bit.
3. speaking of movies and inspiration. we finally got with the program and watched the blind side. i cried the whole time. i buy one dvd every five years; i would so buy this one in a heartbeat.
4. don't turn us in. we went on a train ride the other day. hunter enjoyed most of it, minus the dark tunnel...
5. machines. my grandpa, in a 1960's like fashion refers to computers as "machines." my grandma, on the other hand, is becoming a computer junkie and receives hundreds of emails/day (mind you, she's retired) and is learning the art of facebook and begs us to teach her more. they're cute.

My mother in-law loves the facebook too and reades my blog all the time...She is almost 65 years old:)
That photo of Hunter is so sweet...Poor little guy...:)
Hope you had a relaxing weekend, sweetie
Kisses
That's really cute about your grandparents. My grandmother and I used to email and everyone thought it was so weird!
I LOVE julie and julia...the book is SO hard to get into though!
We love The Blindside. It really shakes up your thinking and makes you look at what you're doing.
Hunter is so cute -- he's really starting to change from the toddler age to the preschool look. He's a sweetie.
And, I'm laughing about your grandparents as I type on the keyboard for my machine. :)
Off to write my miscellany.
Bless you, my friend. (And watch for an email from me....)
Have the most awesome Monday possible.
Oh, yes, and we love Julie and Julia.
How could I have forgotten to mention that in my previous comment??
I literally laughed out loud when I saw poor Hunter's face! Amazing photo. :)
The Blindside is definitely up there with the favorites of all time. I bawled like a baby, too.
If you have the attention span of a 3 year old, I have one of a 2 year old, ha! I saw a few clips of The Blindside and it was pure awesomeness. I keep saying I need to see it in its entirety but I haven't done it yet. The real life mom in the movie is a member of my sorority! Maybe I'll send someone to rent it since I won't be getting out of bed much today! Adorable pic of Hunter :)
The dark tunnel pic is hilarious. :) That's great that you captured that shot!
"The more I see my sin, the more I praise my Savior" - we all need to be continually aware of our position before a holy God. What a good reminder.
Loved, loved this MM post! My 81 year old Dad got his first computer before I did. Go figure! He is so savvy, uses Quicken, Facebook and buys off the internet all the time. I just love that he so desires to stay with "the times."
Yes, both of the above mentioned movies were "keepers." Now, you must see Secretariet!
Happy, happy week to you and your sweet family!
I love The Blind Side too! I just watched it last week :)
oh my gosh I cry EVERY TIME i watch the blind side. it's so stinkin good!
my grandma has a facebook too...it's so funny : )
I have seen both those movies and LOVED them too!!!! And poor little Hunter...it is a funny pic though:-)
Oh...thank God for grace (and mercy!)!!! I've never seen the Blind Side, but hear that it's really good. Your grandparents sound so sweet and I love the way your grandma wants to learn more...too precious!
all of my grandparents have facebook. it is insane.
i LOVED julie and julia! it was one of the reasons i started a blog~!! :) and the blind side had me in tears and going through a whole box of tissues as well!! will be linking up later today!! :)
I watched The Blind Side this past week as well, Gosh was it an amazing movie! And I really want to see Julie and Julia!
Love that picture! =) and the Blind Side was so good!
These are so cute :) LOVED Julie & Julia it totally inspired me to actually COOK for my family instead of just re-heat and I learned how to make soup from scratch! Plus you gotta love that Julie is a blogger :)
oh girlie i am so painfully aware of how flawed i am too. struggling a lot lately...makes me fall on my face...right where i should be. so grateful to have a savior and that HE's saved a wretch like me!
I totally know what you mean about Julie and Julia..I watched it not long ago myself and it was so great! Made me want to debone a duck too..well..maybe not..lol! I havent seen The Blind Side yet but have heard everyone say how great it is!
the Blind Side is such a great movie! My favorite part is when the mothers asks Michael if he wanted to be part of the family! Whoo *tear*
Just found your blog! It's so great seeing a Christian family promoted online!
Loved Blindside and Julie and Julia, two great movies that my family will watch over and over and over! Blindside came out during my son's last year of football and we could sooo relate! When there are good families and good coaches, the boys truly do become men, love it!!
Such a cute pic of your hubby and son...I'm so turning you in, that poor baby subjected to the darkness...lol!
Love the grandparents...my parents are probably your g-parents age, I can soo relate to that scenario, as well...soo fun!!
I am now following you from Misc Mondays. I love your blog design!
Oh and I loved the movie Julie and Julia. And I have Blind Side sitting on my desk to watch, I'm glad it's going to be a good one! I'm excited now :)
i just watched "julia", too and loved it. she was
such a doll and so engaging. i used to die over
those saturday night live skits.
my husband knows the man who wrote the
"blind side" who says that family is the most
Christian example of love. it's all so true.
blessings,
your lower case big sis
God's grace is amazing isn't it? Grace is the topic of this weeks devotional I'm doing! I love all your posts... thanks for doing the link-up!
I love Julia and Julia and The blindside too. Both are such great movies!
I was feeling like a pretty rotten mom to my kiddos last week. Thank goodness for God's grace!
I thought The Blind Side was AMAZING! I still haven't watched Julie and Julia..

I love both of those movies...espeically Blind Side, so inspiring!
yayy for you finally watching the blind side... oh my goodness, that one will just make you cry and cry...
You are such a beautiful person inside and out... God is so forgiving and loving. My grandmother always says "pretty is as pretty does" and you my friend are pretty :) MISS YOU!!
I need to watch both of these movies! Bummed that I haven't done my MM for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully I can this coming week!
Thanks for sharing all the pics. Also I too feel the same way on #1. But PRAISE God for his grace, his mercy and his forgiveness.

Now I have not seen either of those movies but they are both in my NetFlix cue...now just to find the time to sit down and watch! Honestly, that look on Hunter's face in that last picture is just priceless! That could really be on a Hallmark card! Hope you are having a great week!
Despicably imperfect. I find myself humbled when I realize how uncaring and judgmental I can become. But it's the turning to God and asking for His mercy that brings so much joy and gratitude!
gosh carissa! you are making me miss in n out now, animal style, yum yum!!! btw, i linked up!! thanks so much!!
