2. we have a bob the builder on our hands. notice hunter's gasp of excitement when he saw a real life lofty...
3. love/hate. i almost hate cooking. but, our family needs to eat. so the fact that i have to cook every day keeps me from completely abhorring it. plus, there's this side of me that really wants to enjoy it. on the other hand, i love the food network. i scour recipes and read recipe books. i worked at a kitchen store for over a year. i have this weird contradictory battle inside of me when it comes to the kitchen. am i the only one?!?
4. it's not easy being green. "researchers at the university of arizona found that more than half of the reusable grocery bags they tested were contaminated by fecal bacteria and 17% were crawling with e-coli (redbook mag, pg. 72)." now i don't feel so bad for always forgetting my reusable bags at home.

I used to love cooking and still love looking through recipes, but these days it's just a chore. It just isn't enjoyable with a toddler wanting to "help" when I'm trying to make dinner! And that grocery bag study? Wow. I'll start washing mine more often!
Oh that's so gross about the re-usable bags! I always forget them too...so now I am glad.
Those are great cards. That's neat that they contacted you. I already have mine, but I may not send any this year. (Sometimes I do them every other year, so things might seem a little more interesting in the letters I include! Ha!)
I am like you when it comes to the struggle about cooking. I watch the cooking shows, and love cookbooks...but hardly ever cook anything in them. Yet I like to eat...and like to feed my kids and grandkids when they come...but dread all the work on the other hand! Ha! And I love new kitchen gadgets. It's just weird!
And last but not least...Hunter is so cute!

Love, love, love tinyprints!!! I used them for the first time for Noah's birthday this year and fell in love. Lucky you! The card came out so beautiful :)
I don't really cook...I should learn but for now I get by with having my mom and mother-in-law close by supply us with home-cooked meals. I do watch the Food Network whenever I have the TV on though!
That is so gross about the reusable bags - glad I leave them home most of the time!
Precious picture of Hunter!! Many blessings to you this Thanksgiving holiday - I am thankful for your friendship!
Those cards are ADORABLE! We are trying to decide what we are going to do for cards this year, and I think you might have helped!
His face is so cute by the lofty-I love it when they still "believe" everything!!
My reusable bags never come with me to the grocery-but I do always reuse my plastic ones whether it's for trash or whatever...I'm green right? haha
Good to be back-Happy Monday!!
I love the card! It is so unique and beautiful.
Okay. I don't think I'm going to be using those reusable bags. That's really gross. However, I must admit, I'm just like you -- I don't ever remember to bring them.
As you know, my friend, we are Food Network Junkies. Just putting that out there one more time.
Now, off to write my miscellany....

Free Christmas cards from Tiny Prints! How fun :) You did a great job choosing pics for the collage - I have enough trouble choosing one!
When it's 5:30 pm and I'm still not sure what we're having for supper, I hate cooking! But when I'm organized and plan ahead, I really enjoy preparing something wonderful for my family. And the older my kids get, the more I enjoy our time around the table as something really precious. But I still wouldn't mind if Bobby Flay would cook for me occasionally!
First, the cards came out great. I am sure you were super excited to check one holiday thing off of your list. Next, I am so with you on the kitchen. I really am not a fan of cooking, but I want to be. I feel like I am making the same things all of the time. So naturally, I too, scour for new ideas. And I am shocked about the reuseable totes :)
Your cards are adorable, and that is sooo disgusting about the bags. Ew.
I have always looked at my re-usable bags and thought they must be hideously dirty. I am washing them. Now.
I got our cards free through Shutterfly for blogging them! I love that these companies are helping us bloggers out!
Phew! Got miscellany done.
By the way, I had a couple huge Bob the Builder fans as well -- so that pic totally cracked me up!
#2 is great. I love his little face! We have that same reaction on with trains! Enjoy the week.
That "lofty" picture is too cute!
CUTE PICTURES! The cards look GREAT!
The Christmas cards are just too cute!
The cards are great! May have to check out tinyprints.
I had recently read that about the reusable bags and I'm with you. Now I don't feel so bad that I'm always forgetting them. Yuck!
Hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving! :)
Super cute Christmas cards! Your babies are so cute! I don't know how you get anything done, let alone discipline them! I love the food network too! That's how I learned to cook!
I'm so glad I found your blog. I did the meme today and also love the look of your blog!!
1. how awesome!! anything free is always the best! cute cards!
2. super cute picture of your little guy! :)
3. i am pretty much the same way, fortunately for me i only tend to cook one night a week. i love looking at recipes and i print them all the time although i hardly ever use them.
4. how icky!! i think i've only remembered my reusable bags one time. i'm bad.
have a great thanksgiving week pretty lady!! :)
That Christmas card is adorable!!! And, I hated cooking two years ago but the more I tried the better I got so of course it made me happy. Loving your posts!! XO
haha it's sooo funny you mentioned the bag thing. i went and bought tons of cute ones to carry and always took them. i was more of the 'ohhh cute factor and easy to carry when toting kids along too' then the whole green earth (sorry green ppl)
one day the chick at walmart popped a hole w/her finger in my huge 5lb chicken bag and the juice went everywhere...all over my bags....i was totally grossed out and never used them again for groceries...i threw those out and now only use them for when kids need to carry stuff to school or spur of the moment sleep overs that kids are invited too! or pool bags for the kids ! groceries no more
I love tiny prints and I need to get some return labels from there...thanks for the reminder! I love your card...and agree right now to the red envelope :) I like to idea of loving to cook and love reading recipes but actually doing it is another thing. Maybe one day. Love Hunter's face...love. Eeww about that bags...did they say why...eeewww!
You know, I think cooking is something that some of us have to "grow into." I know that's what happened with me. And, I bet it will you too. Hubby and I certainly do our share of eating out but I enjoy cooking too. I'm not a gourmet cook, but quick, easy and simple describe my style. :o)
How yucky about the bags. Goodness!
A most wonderful Thanksgiving to you and your sweet family! Hugs!
YUCK! about #4. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your christmas cards!
The Christmas card you chose is so cute! I love tiny prints they really do have a great selection.
Linking up for the first time! Happy Monday!
what an adorable Christmas card! yikes! I've gotta start thinking about ours now!
Oh and about your love/hate relationship with the kitchen-- I AM EXACTLY THE SAME WAY! You described how I feel about it to the T. My family's gotta eat and I really would love to be a Betty Crocker, but man, it takes WORK! Praying for grace in the kitchen :)
Those cards are too cute!!! They look great!
ohh my goodness... hunter is just sooo cute in that picture and I love your Christmas cards!! so cute! um ew, i think i'll continue to forget my reusable bags... hah!! i'm sorry i've been a bad blogger friend... miss you and think about yall all the time!!!
Well gross. Remind me to wash out my reusable bags with bleach. Ha!
I saw that same thing about the reusable bags and it made me glad I often forget mine too. So gross. I'll stick to paper bags and just use them to store our recyclables. Great Christmas card and double score on the free part :)
First, I absolutely adore your blog design. LOVE. IT.
My oldest is a freak for combines, and is a total paparazzi around them.
The Christmas cards turned out fantstic!!
LOVE your christmas cards! so exciting.
your bob the builder is adorable!
Awww! His expression is priceless. So adorable!
Love the card! What a fabulous blessing to get them for free. :) Oh my...I'm back and forth on cooking too. I want to love it. I feel like it's in me somewhere...but it's a process. I'm learning to love it. ha!
Gross, gross, gross about the bags. I need to find a solution to cutting down the germs b/c I LOVE using reusable bags. I've heard the same thing about the bacteria. They make carting the groceries into the house so much easier.
Grr.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your sweet family!
Major gross about the bags, BUT that is no excuse cause I made my own ;) I mean, can't you just whip some out with all the EXTRA time on your hands??? ;)
Your card is so super pretty! I'm just loving it.
