grace upon grace

i'm thankful for a whole lot of things.

but most of all, i'm thankful that i serve a gracious God.

He sent His son to die, in my place, and rise again three days later.

and because of this, i can know God. --through Jesus.

through Jesus my sins are forgiven and i'm made clean.

if everything in this world were to pass away, i'd still have more than i deserve.

because i deserve nothing good.

but i have everything.

all because of Jesus.

i'm indebted to Him, but it's a debt i could never repay.

it's already been settled.

all because of Jesus.

i'm so thankful.

and then there's more glimpses of His grace around me...

creation

a loving husband

a son

a daughter

all of this is evidence of His grace upon grace.

Amen!

Today someone told me, "We deserve 50 degree weather." I said, "Why do we deserve it?" He then listed the reasons he thought we deserve warmer weather. My point is that we don't deserve anything good. What we deserve is death! But God in His mercy provides us with every good and perfect gift from above that we receive. So thankful He doesn't give us what we deserve!

Absolutely beautiful, Carissa - perfect combo of text and visuals - and a great reminder. We are so undeserving of His grace, but I'm so thankful for it.

Carissa, thank you for stopping by and for your kind words. This has also been on my mind... how what we have we don't deserve, yet God gives it freely... that is grace. Blessings.
