miscellany monday + giveaway winner.

write random and link-up below.

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

lucky laura, you are the winner of a pretty new dress.  congrats!  so happy for you!  as for the rest of you, don’t fret… here’s a coupon code to get 10% off at the shabby apple: lowercaseletters10off.

#144:

2.  what did i do all weekend?
blew my nose.  since december, someone in our family has been ill every other week.  and sometimes every week.  we eat healthy.  take vitamins.  what’s the deal?!  it’s starting to get to me.   i’m convinced that our house has a disease and is giving it to us in rations.  argh.  in the grand scheme of life, it’s no big deal at all.  i’m just a bit exhausted and this flu is kicking my tail.

3. heads nor tails.
taco bell and shrimp tacos.  no offense if you like them {does that really keep you from being offended?!} but the very very last place i’d ever want to eat shrimp is at taco bell.

4.  a new generation.
facebook is taking over the world.  have you noticed that companies are using their facebook address instead of their website?  isn’t that so weird?!  i haven’t looked up a company on facebook;  i usually just google it.  i guess i’m behind the times.

5. holes.

maybe i just always buy cheap clothes, or maybe i’m weird  and get random holes near my belt on every shirt i own.  does this happen to you?!  i need to invest in a decent shirt and then it may last longer than a few months.

6. thankful for a new season.

hi friend!

congrats to the winner of the giveaway and i'm so sorry you were down with the flu bug this past weekend. i had a bad cold myself, praying that it wasn't allergies. I agree with the whole shrimp thing at taco bell...does not sound like a place i would want to eat shrimp.

have a loveLee day friend!

I hope this is the end of winter colds and illnesses! We were surprised when Celia came down with a cold and a bad cough on Saturday. Thought we were finally done with those things for the winter.

Good Morning Cutie!

I hope your feeling better soon. I am sorry :( I will say a prayer for you!

Honey, 1. I don't eat taco bell {that is NOT mexican, lol} and I sure as heck wouldn't eat a shrimp from there, ughhhh, lol!

Haapy first week of spring!
xo

Totally get you on the taco bell thing! Especially since they use such a low grade of beef-I'm sure the shrimp isn't the finest either!

And your shirt thing-that doesn't happen to me...but do you tug at the bottom of your shirt alot? That's the only thing I can think of!

Happy Monday!!

When I drove by Taco Bell and saw the add for shrimp tacos I about gagged. So gross.

Rachel said...

I must buy the same cheap shirts. I started to wonder if it was someone getting snagged on the zipper on my jeans (don't ask me how, I haven't figured that out...)

Taco Bell and shrimp just don't sound good together. At all. Sometimes I'm really thankful to be gluten free. :)

And facebook? That's for my friends. Not companies! Ackkk! I'm now behind the times even more.

I'll pray that you feel better, that your nose stops running, and that whatever virus/flu is in your home, well, leaves. Enough is enough.

Have an excellent Monday!

Rachel

Okay, I knew we were soul sisters. SERIOUSLY. The holey shirt thing? It happens to so many of my shirts, and like you, I can't figure out why! Well, I have a theory...I think it's where my shirt hits my jean buttons. Or it has something to do with the way my button flaps (or whatever you call 'em) lay on my jeans. I don't know, but it's ridiculous, and come to think of it...even happens to some of my nicer shirts.

Boo.

I hope you feel better, soon!

Yay!! So excited about the giveaway!! :)

I am with you on the shrimp tacos. I am totally not a fastfood snob...considering my devotion to the golden arches....but I can NOT eat a shrimp taco from Taco Bell.

The whole facebook thing is a little unnerving. I watched a documentary about them recently and it was crazy. Did you know to delete your account you have to go through and delete each and every picture you've uploaded individually? Plus the scary thing is, nothing can stop others from uploading pictures of you. I'm totally starting to sound like my parents but I think facebook IS taking over the world.

Hope the sickness will go away and stay away!!

i so completely LOVE that last photo of the daffodils. and i'm ready for spring NOW! not the mud that goes along with it though :)
i succumb to the facebook liking business pages and now my feed is full of junk that i just don't care about. i try to unlike when i can but it's still a mess, though as a biz owner i hope i don't post too much or make people 'unlike' my page :)

I totally agree with the Taco Bell shrimp situation. Gah-Rosss! But I bet someone loves them!

Hope you feel better!

uh yeah have to say that shrimp tacos at Taco Bell sounds really gross. I ALWAYS have little holes near my beltline and I don't ever wear belts. What's that about?? So glad I'm not the only one. I was thinking maybe I had a weird moth problem...HA!

Stephanie said...

Oh my gosh the HOLEY SHIRTS, ME TOO!! So annoying, I am almost to the point of throwing a fit about it! It seems that as soon as I buy a shirt I really like, it has two little holes right by the belt line... and I don't wear belts- HOWEVER, I haven't had this happen since I have been wearing maternity pants so it HAS to have something to do with the buttons/zippers... I think we need some sort of testing done :)

And I am with you on the taco bell shrimp tacos, I don't like shrimp anywhere- but definitely not at taco bell!

Happy Monday!

Taco Bell shrimp??? NASTY!!!!!

Yay for spring :) - boo for sickness :(

So jealous of the give away winner! Shrimp? In a taco? Yuck. Maybe it's because I'm not a fish lover anyway! Love the springy picture!

Heather said...

I don't think I could handle the shrimp tacos either. Ick!

Love the spring picture, beautiful!

Franchesca said...

I've definitely noticed the facebook-taking over. It's craziness! I google too so I guess I'm behind too ;)

And YUCK! Shrimp at taco bell... after the news report on their 60% meat or whatever I think this is the last thing they need to be serving!

Hope your family and whole house gets better! Sickness can be draining.

Loving Spring!

And yes to the random holes in shirts! I thought this was a phenomenon that just my mom and I were experiencing (she has the same thing happen to most of her tees)! What's up with that?

I also thought the same thing when I saw the Taco Bell commercial for shrimp! I mean really, who are they kidding? Gross!

Happy Monday, C!

I so feel your pain on a sick house! Poor Noelle has taken the brunt of it which isn't surprising because she always has her fingers in her mouth. When I was nursing her, she was hardly ever sick but I had to quit when she was at the 26 month mark asking for "mommy milk", lol! Ewwww, shrimp anywhere grosses me out but Taco Bell? Yuck! Happy Spring :) I am so happy the Easter is on its way! Blessings to you and your sweet family! Feel better! xoxo, Kelly

Oh, do hope the "bug" gets out of your household very soon. Our babies were sick a bunch in Dec. and Jan. and we never could figure it out. They stay with each other at one of their homes with a sitter. Decided that maybe they weren't around enough germs. Maybe that's the case with you family.

I'm with you, just can't imagine shrimp at Taco Bell.

Always enjoy stopping by! Hugs!

I totally agree with you when it comes to taco bell. Taco bell doesn't appeal to me at all. I hope you are doing well, and I am looking forward to keeping up with your posts (again). It's been awhile!

I'm with you - no shrimp at Taco Bell.

I get the same holes. I find that it is most common in shirts that I get at Target though.

Brittany said...

I have holes in some of my shirts near the belt, but I've noticed that it happens most on shirts that I pull down a lot. So maybe they aren't long enough or that material creeps up easily?
