1. this installment of miscellany monday will focus on a series of confessions. also known as looking at my weird self in the mirror. brought to you by my conscience.
2. i watched a special on Selena Gomez while my man was out of town. i think she's rocks and i indulge the hidden fifteen year old that's pinned up inside of me with her songs. only when no one is looking. i remember her well from her Barney days. now i just gave myself away, considering i was in 5th grade when Barney came out. with a hint of deductive reasoning you are right to assume i watched the purple dinosaur up until i was eleven.

3. yesterday i delighted my ears once more with some 80's soft rock. Hall and Oates aren't just for my parent's homemade cassette tapes dubbed the "love mix." and while i didn't enjoy them so much in 3rd grade, they've won me over by now. - i mean, look at them.

4. and while i'm on this music track, i want to give a shout-out to Enya. because her music is fun to play ballerina to.
5. so i've been selling on ebay. and coincidentally not, i'm convinced my blood pressure is up. there's something about countless question answering, money transferring, box hunting, packaging and shipping, all while trying not to get somehow cheated, that makes me nervous.
6. i can't stomach fried food. it runs right through me like the Mississippi delta does it's namesake state.
7. i read the last few pages of the end of some books (mainly novels) to make sure it ends in a good way. call me a spoiler, but if a books ending doesn't sit well with me, i prefer to move on down the line.
this is my current read. it's full of pirates, grace, a love tale and the revolutionary war.
8. my two year old is now too smart for my own good. so i guess i'm admitting to not being smarter than a toddler - forget 5th graders! Hunter is famous for his egg allergy and is keen on the idea of getting out of eating. so little mr. finicky phil himself has put two and two together. only in my book, this doesn't equal four. if Hunter doesn't want to eat something he says, "no, egg hour-gee. can't eat it." i feel snookered.

10. i told my husband that i think today's date, seven/eleven/eleven is cute. he didn't get what makes a date cute. rhyming and repetition, duh! happy cute date day!

I, too, HATE selling on eBay. It's so frustrating to do all that work and then find out you've been scammed!
Oh my goodness -- selling on Ebay -- I can relate. Then I overpack just to make sure it arrives perfect.
I burst out laughing {thank goodness I was downstairs in the family room away from the sleeping little ones} when I saw the picture of Hall and Oates. Ha ha ha -- the looks they have!
Enya is a favorite over here. For the ballerinas of mine and for their mother.
I'm going to have to find that book your reading. I've been looking for something good to read -- in all my spare time.
Hunter reminds me of my kids. And I'm sure Samuel will be telling me that there's gluten in stuff really soon just so he doesn't have to eat it. ;)

omg selena gomez WAS on barney! i never put that together! haha. i remember "secretly" watching barney in like 2nd grade b/c it was no longer cool but i so wanted to watch. i also remember my mom calling me out on it. thanks, mom.
hunter cracks me up (funny to use that considering we are speaking about eggs! ahaha) i want to see that big head and AWESOME eyes! sage is pretty fab too...next time we are in town we must see each other!!
and lastly, who does love taking mirror pictures? as long as they aren't your facebook picture i say go for it!!! :)

as for the ebay...i sold years ago...if you have the time...boutiques put their stuff 70% off in july. i bought tons of name brand stuff...and sold it on ebay for a killing. i would buy dresses for $15 and sell them on ebay for $50. seriously. that's how i bought our trip to ireland. (again years and years ago)

Hall and Oates are awesome...I love some 80's music! And LOL at watching Barney until you were 11! I remember hating Barney, but my younger sister was obsessed and watched it all the time!
I totally watched Barney until I was too old to watch it LOL! and I watch Disney channel as an adult with no kids...I should be embarrassed about this fact, but I'm not :)

Back when I actually read books (it seems so long ago) I totally would skip to the end. I think you and I are more alike than we know.
I hear ya on ebay! Selling ANYTHING is a thorn in my flesh. I have come to the conclusion that people are stupid.
Horrible conclusion, but man alive. We finally sold all 8 of our Australian Shepherd puppies (only took FOUR WEEKS) and people would email me questions that I had clearly stated on the classified ad. I just didn't get it. Geez.
Love your self portraits! I haven't conquered the inconspicuous ones, either. Matter of fact, I have some of Sprig and I coming up in a soon-to-be post and my arms look TEN yards long. Oh well...our kids will be glad to see us in pictures one day. Regardless if we look desperate. Maybe we are. ;) One day they'll understand.

3. I can never look at the end of the book. I just trudge through the book, good or not.
5. I get all nervous too selling stuff. We've been doing craigslist recently. But then I think, what if the people don't like it after the buy it. They know my email and they live in the same small town - they could hunt be down! Ex: I sold a Tigger halloween costume on craigslist. I met the lady at a neaby parking lot, only to find out the lady lives a street over from me... craziness :)

there's so much about this post that cracks me up. umm I'm going to completely agree with you on 5 and 6. your metaphor on 6 is perfection. It's hilarious that Hunter already has that quote down...not funny for you as mommy, I'm sure...but funny to us readers! my self portraits are so dorky. you rock yours in my opinion! and lastly, my hubby never gets when I say something (other than maybe a baby animal or baby human) is cute. He thinks that word should just remain with things that are living and breathing. I completely disagree. Like you said, dates can be cute. Our sweet Adeline is due 11/5/11...I think it's "cute" that her month and year numbers will be the same. ;) hope you're having a blessed week!
